CG interviews Anevo | Hello – Stafford Brothers feat Lil Wayne & Christina Milian (Anevo Remix)

Young gun, Fredrik Sundberg, better known as Anevo, is slowly making a name for himself as a producer.  The up and comer has begun to prove himself  with a release on Armada/ Zouk Recordings and winning a remix contest for  his version of “Hello” by Stafford Brothers feat Lil Wayne & Christina Milian.

This hard hitting club track really makes use of Christina Milian’s catchy lyrics and uses her words as a foundation to build an astonishing remix.  With a fantastic set of production skills, big things are inevitably coming for the Swede.

I caught up with Anevo to chat about his latest remix, “Hello”.  Purchase on Beatport, but stream it here first:

Jordan (Collective Genre): Is there a story behind you making this remix?

Fredrik (Anevo): I liked the original track and I thought I could do a great, harder club track with the vocal to it.

Jordan: How do you feel about winning the Stafford Brothers remix competition on Beatport?

Fredrik: I feel very honored they picked my remix as the winner.  It’s a real confirmation that my productions are progressing.

Jordan: Who really influences you as a producer?

Fredrik: I don’t really have one particular artist/ producer that inspires me but I like a lot of different producer styles like Knife Party, Eric Prydz and so on.

Jordan: Who would be a dream producer to collaborate with?

Fredrik: Axwell, definitely!

Jordan: What inspires you as a producer?

Fredrik: I get inspired by listening to other EDM producers’ tracks, but also get very creative when I listen to older rock and classical productions.

Jordan: When did you decide that electronic music was what you wanted to “do”? How did that come about?

Fredrik: I have played instruments like piano and guitar for a very long time and decided to take it one step further with my digital productions.  I felt that  electronic music was something new and exciting.

Jordan: Your current favorite track?

Fredrik: Right now its probably “SLVR” by Steve Angello and Matisse & Sadko.

Jordan: What are your plans for the future?

Fredrik: Right now Im still in high school so music is still secondary. But for next year, I’m planing to focus on my music total
