CG interviews High 5; Original Mix “As Long As It Takes”

22 year old Karol Czubak from Radom, Poland, also known by his production name, High 5has been making waves in the trance world.  His productions already supported by the likes of Markus Schulz, Max Graham, Skytech and Solid Stone. Most recently, having “As Long As It Takes” featured on Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Radio #042, #43 and #44. The track itself is a masterfully crafted record that has you dancing in all the right places.  From the percussive club opening to the uplifting heavenly bridge with a soothing piano melody, High 5 has created a trance gem. Easily one of the better trance tracks out this summer.

I caught up with High 5 to ask him a few questions about his upcoming release.

Jordan (Collective Genre): Is there a story behind this track?

Karol (High 5): A few months ago I felt “burned out”.  So one day I just started playing on the piano, and there came the melody from “As Long As It Takes”, and honestly I fell in love with it! When I finished the track I decided to call it “As Long As It Takes” because in that moment I understood that I will produce music that makes me happy and deliver my music to people who also like/feel it.

Jordan: It must be exciting to have this track featured on Group Therapy Radio?

Karol: I really feel awarded! I know that very few tracks are supported 3 times in a row!  This is amazing, there are no words you can say when your dream is about to come true.

Jordan: Who would be your dream producer to collaborate with?

Karol: I love the works of so many artists, but if I had to choose it would be Andrew Bayer!

Jordan: What are your plans for the future?

Karol: It’s hard to say what my plans are. For now I want to focus on making good tracks.

Keep an eye out for Australia based trance label Amon Vision  releasing this record Sep 9th (Beatport), and everywhere else on Sep 23rd.
