Fall Out Boy - Save Rock And Roll

After a long wait, Fall Out Boy’s fifth studio album, “Save Rock And Roll”, was released on April 16, 2013.  Produced by Butch Walker through Island Records, the album features guest vocals by 2 Chainz, Foxes, Big Sean, Courtney Love and Elton John…yes, I did say Elton John!

John is featured on the track “Save Rock and Roll” which was released mid-April.  Band members say the title of the album is “tongue-in-cheek,” but they’re also serious about their choice of words.

Unfortunately, after mixed reviews of their album, “Folie à Deux”, in 2008, the members decided to take a break at the end of 2009.

Bassist Pete Wentz stated, “When we were taking time off and it was like … we could be back in 20 years or maybe we won’t ever come back. I think that was the great thing about how we took time off and it kind of allowed it to be healthier that it didn’t put a return date on it”.

After a few attempts at regrouping after a short term hiatus, the band recorded the new album “Save Rock and Roll” in secrecy at Rubyred Recordings in Venice, California during the fall of 2012.

With the new album, and a very bold album title, be sure to check out the exciting musical collaborations between the top musical artists of today and emo popsters, Fall Out Boy.
