See Diva K. Michelle at Powerhouse 2013
A very talented, beautiful triple threat is hitting the stage with a long list of stars at this year’s Powerhouse 2013 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. K. Michelle will be a rose among thorns like Kendrick Lamar, Trey Songz, 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, Big Sean, ScholBoy Q, & Fabolous on Nov 2.! Pe-sale for tickets will take place from Thursday, September 19 at 10 am to Friday. After, tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, September 21 at 10 am.
K. Michelle is more commonly known for her roll on VH1’s reality series, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, but she has been present in the music industry since 2009. She released her first single with Missy Eliot called “Fakin’ It” after her show ended and her fan following bumped up as a result. Now K. Michelle has a deal with Warner Bros. Records. This past August she debuted her solo album, Rebellious Soul. The album saw commercial success, debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200.
Now, K. Michelle will be taking the stage with a bunch of experienced hip hop artist making waves of her own. She is classically trained on the piano and guitar, so hopefully she will break out some instruments during her stage time. Check out her new single “V.S.O.P”, which stands for Very Special Old Pale, like Hennessy. The song is about her enjoying her man’s company with a nice Cognac.
Lyrics – V.S.O.P
Hit the lights
Can’t let no one see me get down
I know they think I get around
You and I
Got something they can’t know about
Really only heaven knows my heart
You know this ain’t an ordinary love
We got so much histray in the stories about us
So come on over baby
We gon’ light some candles tonight
We gon’ do whatever you like
Got some henney chillin’ on ice
Hope you make the rest of my life
Warm my bed
It’s a little cold on your shoulder
I will understand when I’m older
In my head
Even if you tell me it’s over
I’ll pretend you told me I’m your all
He suppose to be with you
That’s what everybody gon’ tell me
But I really can’t count on what everybody gon’ tell me
She ain’t seen her baby in couple days, and I’m looking at my baby right up in his face.
Flowers and gifts, restaurants
I swear he buy me anythang I want
That’s why I’m so quick to
Put that music on for him, listen to it baby!
